Market Update:

Gapped Bass LLC, an entity associated with the Boring Co., has been buying up hundreds of acres of properties in Bastrop County. Musk envisions that employees from Boring Co., Tesla and SpaceX could live in new homes with below-market rents. It also said the Bastrop site already includes modular homes, an outdoor sports area and a gym. Rumor has it this “town” has a name…

People have seen banners with the companies mascot, a snail.  They read, “Welcome to Snailbrook”

Filings in the area for a "Project Amazing" also have shown plans to build housing. Plans for the project show more than 100 housing units on 108 acres, with streets named for the company, including Boring Boulevard and Cutterhead Crossing.

Market Update:

Recent data showed that there were nearly 200,000 fewer active listings at the end of March than there were in November. Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the National Association of REALTORS®, confirmed, “The lack of housing inventory is a major constraint to rising sales. Multiple offers are still occurring on about a third of all listings, and 28% of homes are selling above list price. Limited housing supply is simply not meeting demand nationally." - MBS Highway

Takeaway:  Realtors are selling a product that is likely to appreciate, and is a safe investment for homebuyers based on the current environment.  Realtors can be confident that they’re bringing massive value to the market.
